DELPHINE BARDIN
Winner of the first prize at the Paris Conservatoire, French pianist Delphine Bardin won the famous Clara Haskil Competition in Vevey in 1997. When her Clara Haskil prize was announced, many listeners exclaimed: ‘It’s her! It’s Clara Haskil reborn!’ ‘ And it is true that it is not only a physical resemblance that links Delphine Bardin to her illustrious predecessor. Precociously gifted, possessed of unusual maturity, as demanding as she is sometimes taciturn, devoted to music and nothing but music, the French pianist is advancing as she wishes, but not as she deserves. Her secret art, of absolute purity, awaits only one thing: that we enjoy it without moderation!
Sunday 07.06.2026 – 11.15 am
PETER RÖSEL, piano
- Joseph Haydn : Piano Sonata in E flat major, Hob.XVI.49
- Felix Mendelssohn : Lieder ohne Worte: Op. 62, Nos. 1 and 3, Op. 19 No. 1 and Op. 62 No. 2

- Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart : Sonata in F major, K. 332, and Sonata in B flat major, K. 333
PETER ROESEL
Born in Dresden in 1945, a pupil of Dmitri Bashkirov and Lev Oborin in Moscow, Peter Rösel is today ‘the least known of the great pianists’ (Alain Lompech). A comet escaped from a paradise we thought had been lost: that of pure inspiration. Unsurprisingly, it is the Everest peaks of the repertoire that feature most prominently in his programmes: Peter Rösel needs space and height to quench his thirst for beauty and transcendence. His complete recording of Brahms’s piano works, and his performances of Beethoven’s and Rachmaninov’s piano concertos with the great Kurt Sanderling remain absolute, essential benchmarks.
Sunday 29.06.2026 – 11.15 am
TJASHA GAFNER, harp & MAUD PAQUIS (vocals)
- Franz Schubert : “Winterreise” reimagined for harp, piano and voice
The friendship between Tjasha Gafner (harp) and Maud Paquis (vocals) goes back a long way; the future musicians first met at nursery school. Tjasha is now one of the leading classical harpists of her generation. A winner of numerous international competitions, including the prestigious ARD Prize in 2024, she performs on the world’s greatest stages. Maud, for her part, has chosen the path of jazz. A pianist, singer and songwriter, she has two albums to her name and places creativity and improvisation at the heart of her practice.
Both artists were keen to collaborate on a joint project. The idea of ‘reinterpreting Schubert’s Winterreise’ seemed obvious . A landmark of German Romanticism, this song cycle is also one of the earliest major song repertoires: a territory at the crossroads of their artistic sensibilities. As a result of a week-long residency at Villa Pineta, the duo will present their reinterpretation of Schubert’s Lieder — a freely adapted version for harp, piano and voice, where tradition and improvisation engage in dialogue, and where two musical journeys finally converge.

OPHELIE GAILLARD, cello
- Johann Sebastian Bach: Cello Suites Nos. 1, 3 and 5 (subject to change)
OPHELIE GAILLARD
An endless curiosity, a taste for risk, and an unbridled appetite for the entire concertante cello repertoire—without boundaries or factional squabbles—are undoubtedly what set this brilliant Franco-Swiss performer apart from her peers from a very early age. Voted ‘Instrumental Soloist Revelation’ by the general public at the ‘Victoires de la Musique Classique’ in 2003, she has since performed in recitals at the most prestigious venues (the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the Théâtres d’Aix-en-Provence and du Châtelet, Oji Hall in Tokyo, Wigmore Hall in London, etc.)

THÉO COMBY & JULIEN FORNEROD
Théo Comby was born on 3 May 1997. He began learning the piano at the age of seven, first at a music school and then at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional (CRR) in Bordeaux under Marie-Christine Dubernat. After completing his A-levels, he began studying philosophy in Paris and obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in 2020 at the Sorbonne. Following his university studies, he finally decided to devote himself to music, after a nine-year hiatus. He returned to the world of classical music at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Départemental (CRD) in L’Haÿ-les-Roses and resumed his piano studies with Ilen Song, obtaining his Diplôme d’Études Musicales (DEM) in 2022. That same year, he joined the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne (HEMU) in Pascal Godart’s class. In 2025, he had the opportunity to perform Mozart’s Concerto No. 17, K.453, during the ‘Nuit du Concerto’ organised by the HEMU.
Born in February 2005, Julien Fornerod began learning the cello in Marc Jaermann’s class at the Lausanne Conservatoire, in his hometown. In 2021, he was admitted to the special classes for musicians at the Auguste Piccard Gymnasium. In 2022, he obtained his certificate of completion in cello studies and, in the same year, was admitted to the pre-professional course at the Lausanne Conservatoire. Julien performs regularly with various orchestras such as the Orchestre des jeunes de la Suisse romande (conducted by the Sine Nomine Quartet), the Orchestre Symphonique en Vogue, and the Swiss Youth Symphony Orchestra. He is also deeply committed to chamber music and has had the opportunity to work with Hans Egidi (Sine Nomine Quartet), Vincent Coq (Wanderer Trio) and Sigiswald Kuijken. Since 2023, he has been studying for a Bachelor’s degree at the Lausanne University of Music in Patrick Demenga’s class.
‘Villa Musica – Fusio’ association
Villa Pineta exists only because we are deeply convinced that the world needs places that are preserved and unique, projects that are intimate but essential.
Reviving this house, which is as improbable as it is beautiful, was the first step in a rather crazy project! Your presence and enthusiasm have encouraged us every day, and finally convinced us that we needed to extend the possibilities available to us here in Fusio, on this enchanted little hill.
So we’ve decided to open up our hotel more to culture – in its many forms – and to develop opportunities: opportunities to create, to meet, to exchange. A small room – attractive and practical – was born of this vision: Villa Musica. We named it Villa Musica because music has always been at the heart of our activities in the past, and because it was deliberately designed with acoustics in mind. But it’s so much more than that!
In order to be able to organise concerts, plan workshops, design exhibitions and organise meetings, we need financial resources that the hotel business alone cannot generate. So we’ve set up the Villa Musica – Fusio association to help us develop our cultural offering without jeopardising the life and survival of our hotel.
Interested in supporting us every year so that we can look to the future with peace of mind?

A beautiful (small) hall
Because of its location, its geographical remoteness and its very special setting, Villa Pineta seems to us to be the ideal place to offer people who wish to do so a place of retreat, of renewal, a place to work or to meet.
Our new hall is devoted to music: overlooking the park and with a view of the mountains, it has been designed and conceived, first and foremost, from an acoustic perspective: around a magnificent grand piano. We wish to offer our guests – be they music lovers, amateur or professional musicians – the opportunity to sense every exhalation, hear every vibration and feel every harmony.
But this ground-level room is also perfect for yoga retreats, seminars, writing workshops, parties or weddings and can be reserved even out of season. The complementary service at the Villa Pineta was created for you. It is now up to you to come and experience it!
Write to us at info@villapineta.ch and we’ll find the right formula together!

Immersive concert: NICOLAS MONGUZZI invites FRANCESCO GIUDICI
A concert that resonates with the theme ‘Silence and Sound’ and Villa Pineta. Mesmerising, immersive, slow, meditative music; soundscapes that interweave with the surrounding landscape. A concert to listen to with your eyes closed, gazing out over the valley.
Nicolas Monguzzi, with his gongs and singing bowls, welcomes Francesco Giudici, a musician and composer who expresses himself with the electric guitar. He writes and improvises his music using various objects and incorporating electronic elements, whilst adopting a minimalist approach and constantly reflecting on the complex relationship between music and time.
